QualGroup’s founders Vijo M. Jose and Riya Cherian are both qualified and passionate healthcare professionals, with a combined 20 years of experience working in the New Zealand hospitals. 

It was this first-hand knowledge of the importance of having rigorous cleaning processes in hospitals, that inspired them to establish QualGroup back in 2015. They saw a pressing need to bring the same specialised standards of cleanliness, hygiene and care to all public buildings. 

Vijo realized that New Zealand businesses and Healthcare centres needed to be sure that their cleaning services were being operated professionally, with systems, training and auditing. Under the guidance and mentorship of Bridget Gardner, QualGroup has now implemented a high performance cleaning program through our whole cleaning operations.

A high performance cleaning program doesn’t happen overnight. It meant engaging all of our management team and putting our entire cleaning process under the microscope. Here are just some of the steps and changes that QualGroup have made: 

• Documenting every cleaning product, tool and technique in a Cleaning Plan, for every tasks, from end to end, to ensure cleaning is carried out consistently and effectively on every site;
• Purchasing disinfectants that have been independently validated via TGA registration, and cleaning products that have been certified by Green Seal;
• Developing High Touch Point Protocols for cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces in every building, and for preventing cross-contamination between surfaces and areas;
• Installing accurate chemical dosing equipment for dispensing highly concentrated cleaning chemicals, to prevent surface build-up, wastage, packaging and the risk of exposure;
• Providing quality microfibre cloths and mops, in sufficient quantities to ensure effective cleaning;
• Installing laundering facilities for cleaning cloths and mops;
• Training cleaners to carry out their cleaning tasks correctly using a visual step-by-step Cleaning Manual that is fully customised to our practices;
