Our Story: From Healthcare to High Performance
In 2014, two healthcare professionals Vijo Madappilly Jose and Riya Cherian looked around the commercial cleaning industry in New Zealand and saw something alarming.
As experienced nurses and infection control experts, they knew the life saving value of hospital grade cleaning. But outside the healthcare system, they saw workplaces where hygiene was treated as an afterthought where cleaning meant a quick mop, a wipe, and moving on. It was all about appearance not actual cleanliness.
“They knew it could be better.

From those early days just the two of them with a vision and a vacuum the company has grown into a team of 30+, serving over 100 clients every single day. But the mission has never changed:

So in 2020, in the wake of a global pandemic, we launched the QualClean Academy a professional training platform that equips every cleaner with international-level skills, infection control protocols, and real confidence.
